Team Jumba (Final Thoughts)
This past Sunday, my dad and I arrived to the pit stop in last place, making us the 5th team to be eliminated from the Amazing Race. We lasted a total of seven legs.
After we got eliminated I was devastated, and even now I still kick myself sometimes about not being able to stay in the race. But that’s always the emotions you go through when you lose.
The prize of winning the Amazing Race is one million dollars, but that’s not what motivated us to stay in the race. We wanted to stay in and travel the world and do all the crazy challenges. Also, what motivated us was the overwhelming and genuine support we got from people all over the world that were cheering us on. It was uplifting. Thanks for all the messages, emails, and #teamjumba tweets, they helped.
Even though I’m bitter about losing, I don’t regret ever doing this. Cause if I didn’t do this, I would of never experienced major frostbite on my buttcheeks, nor would I have gotten to wear a dress and then kiss a Russian babushka. These are memories I will never forget.. haha
All jokes aside, I need to forget about losing and move on. At least now I can get back to my daily routine, like video blogging, tweeting random things, and doing funny skits with my dad! haha.. definitely not as cool as running around the world and jumping off bridges, but still cool nonetheless. Okay no more regrets. Expect to see bigger and better things in the future! Thanks again.
(In cased you missed any episodes, here’s recaps I posted each week):
