Soysauce is the all around marinade for me.

nick, u don't add more soy source to your already well fried fried rice. It'll be too salty! You add in the soy source to fry together with the white rice and u generally don't need salt or other seasoning. The dark soy source will make the rice brown and that is how i like it! That way, the flavourful of soy source will be in every rice bits.

The choice of soy source also matters. Basically, there are 2 types.

A. Naturally fermented type (by long traditional method, could take up to years for good soy sources). Pricier.

B. Industrially manufactured - this is not good, not much flavours of the soy source. Takes a shorter time to make though. Less pricey.

vienna sausave, talong(eggplant) chicken, eggs, rice. anything haha you anme it i put soysauce on it. hahaha

I put soy sauce on Rice & Sushi. but I haven't tried many asian style foods.

I usually put soy sauce on things like rice, sushi, spam musubi, etc. Sometimes I put it in my noodles.

At the Chinese or Japanese restaurants, i usually don't put additional soy sauce because they usually have already put a lot of it in the food.
