2008 OLYMPIC GAMES FINALLY OVER!!

Well the olympics were officially over at august 24 2008. china got THE most GOLD medals. But America got the most MEDALS. I don't if you guys saw the ending ceremony but it was amazing, so beautiful. I don't know if you saw this but jackie chan was singing in the ending ceremony. my parents made fun of that lol. The ending was really something to remember. There were like 500 people on the tower and the flame is at last extinguished. i was kinda sad caue 2 weeks if people competing were gone just like that. well tell what you thought of all of this. (P.S. sorry if this description is so long)

Jackie Chan was AWESOME!!! i love that guy so much.
in fact i have to leave now, to watch his movie on tv!!!
but yeah the ending seremony was beautiful.

I saw both the closing and the opening ceremonies and they were very amazing. They totally raised the bar for the Olympics. The Chinese people really made their voices heard to the world and they really showed everyone what they have. After two weeks of competition the athletes can now both rest from those four years of preparation at the same time start training again for the next summer Olympics. This time I'm sure everyone especially the U.S. will train hard to get that "most gold" title of the Chinese. It was really an amazing and memorable Olympics.

it raised the standards of the Olympics. i'm not sure if the London Olympics could top that.

australia did really well in the summer olympics. their population is only 25% of Germany, but they won more olympic medals than Germany did. Canada usually does better in winter olympics.

haha look at australia, they have 10 million people less than we (canada) do, and they grabbed 46 total medals(6th), and 14 of the golden variety(5th).

i didn't see the closing ceremony, but i saw some of the olympic competitions (diving, running, swimming, basketball, etc). US won the gold for basketball... kudos to Kobe! Canada ended up with 18 medals. Not too bad considering the population is only 33 million. i thought canada would get 0 medals because at the beginning canada didn't win anything.
