$4075 Donation! – JumbaFund

August 9, 2010

I want to start by thanking everyone who left a comment and/or nominated a charity. There were about 1,500 people that left a comment! It took awhile counting through all of them to determine a winner.

So now the exciting part… let’s talk about who won the $4,075.32 from JumbaFund!

The top three nominees were:
-Link (Liberation in North Korea)
http://www.linkglobal.org/

-Invisible Children
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/

-World WildLife Fund
http://www.worldwildlife.org/

These are all great nominees. Thanks to you guys, I learned about LINK and the crisis in North Korea. (If you don’t know what LiNK is, I recommend checking it out at their website). This charity received over a hundred comments from you guys. As usual, Invisible Children had huge support. This is a renowned charity that supports children in Uganda, and it is also a charity that JumbaFund has previously donated to.

But the Animal Activists have spoken, and the top vote-getter with over 200 comments and votes is the World WildLife Fund. WWF definitely deserves every penny that JumbaFund raised these past couple months, especially with the recent tragedies to our environment (ie: the oil spill). This charity is the world’s leading conservation organization, and I’m very pleased that JumbaFund was able to support this cause.

Hope you guys are happy with where the money went to. If for some reason you aren’t, next time you and all your friends can vote for the one you really wanted. Other than that, continue to watch and subscribe to my videos on JumbaFund. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to spread the word! Thanks guys.

TTYS,
Kevin
